A mountain village in the valley of brook Čistá in the south foot of Giant mountains near Vrchlabí.
The origin village was set out in the neighbourhood of chapel in 16th century. Later the mining of precious metal started to be important, but it finished in 17th century. The Renaissance church of St. Michal from 16th century is the most important architectonic monument in this village.
In the south edge of village you can found the slight rest of small castle Purkhýbel. Today is Černý Důl first of all the recreation centre.
